Only opens during the night and closes during the day. Flower only lasts for a couple of nights. Have 2 that we purchased at a local market and didn't realise what they were. Only saw the flower open by accident, after returning home late in evening. The flower is quite big but dies off very quickly and it only flowers once a year.
